I have this goal. The goal is that one day my kitchen will be filled with cows.

So many cows that you walk into the kitchen and immediately think "moo".

I have a pretty good head start with all these cows thanks to friends and family and now i am one step closer... I have black and white curtains. YAY!!! Everyone do the happy dance!!

We took family pics a while back (i will not tell you how long a while back is) and had a fantastic time!! We decided to do the pics at the cabin and it was quite the trip. There was a blizzard that hit just before we were suppose to go up. We decided not to cancel the pics because this has been in the making for longer then I have been a Pedersen :P All in all it was a great day. We had an awesome photographer (thanks Melissa) and got to see a deer and eat lots of yummy food.

This past weekend Matts mom, Lisa, and little brother, Jaren, came into town. It was so good to see them!! We hung out, ate good food and played around alot.

One of the best things we did was head up to Red Rock and letter box. This is kinda like treasure hunting. What you do, is you get a letter box off the internet follow the directions (dont forget your compass!!) and wha la! (if the directions dont suck) you have yourself a letter box!!

We looked for 3 but were only able to find one. It was a blast to hang out with everyone and it was so much fun to look for the letter boxs!!

First Date Day

Matt and I dont celebrate Valentines day. Instead we celebrate our First Date Day, which happens to fall on February 15th :)

This year we decided that we were not gonna spend more than 20 dollars each and here is what we came up with...

I made Matt a candy bar poster and Matt got me cows and an orchid!! I asked Matt to only give me cows for gifts this year. (I want to decorate my kitchen in cows ) :)

It was a great way to celebrate the beginning of our relationship.

It has been about a million years since i have posted anything so here goes :)

It has been a hard adjustment for me since daddy died...This is me and Angie with Daddy last 4th of July

Matt and I had a pretty good Christmas. I got Matt the PS3 that he has been saving for and he got me all sorts of random awesome stuff! The best thing being a hot coco maker!! It is soooo freaking awesome and delicious!

Matt is in school full time right now. He is taking 4 classes which equals 11 credits. I am lucky enough that i get to take a class with him (for free). He has to take a choir class a semester and this semester they needed extra bodies!! Yea for me knowing how to carry a tune!!

Matt took me on a date the other night. We had a really nice time reliving our first date (without the dinner). He took me to the conservatory at the Bellagio and then we watched the fountains. It was so nice to get out and have a nice time together with out having to spend any money. I am so thankful that I have such an awesome husband who loves me enough to pick up on my hints that i want to get out of the house :)

This snail totally reminded me of the snails from Neverending Story! And look at this frog!! It was so beautiful!! I am so surprised sometimes at how creative some people are!!

In other news the entire family showed up to celebrate Fathers Day at my patents house. It was really nice to see everyone and to catch up and see how everyone is doing. Angie and Chris came up from Phoenix and we celebrated some June birthdays along with Fathers day. My camera died while I was walking around taking pics so there are only a couple...

A quick shout out goes to Megen!! She made the most delicious ribs EVER!! YUM YUM YUM!!

Meet Honey.

She is the newest member of the family and despite being woken up at 0400 every morning we love her dearly.
She and Torro seem to be getting along very well and we are very pleased. :)

In other news,

Matt will be starting school this next semester. We are both VERY excited for this new development.

(that is it for other news... apparently we need lives)

Other then that we are the same old same old Pedersens. Just hanging out and having a good time.

Lucky Charms

So... a while back I went to the doctor for a full work up and he told me that I have highish cholesterol.

Learning this I did what anyone else would do and I decided to change parts of my diet to bring that sucker down. I changed my morning cereal, took eggs completely out of my diet and have started reading labels to stay away from saturated fats.

And I have come to this conclusion...

I miss Lucky Charms... sweet delicious Lucky Charms. Marshmellowy goodness in a box. How I miss you.

Well boys and girls... the day has finally come... we now have heat!! (Which means you will all be invited over to see the new house soon)

Thanks in large part to daddy (and his demand letter) Matt and I were blessed with a new A/C unit and for the first time since we moved in-we have heat.There it is!!! Just sitting on the truck waiting to be installed!!! All 4 tons of it :)

It was a very nice and warm night in the Pedersen Household last night And for that I am very very thankful.

So... it has finally come to this... after much shivering it has been decided that our HVAC unit must be condemned. I only wish that we did not have to wait 3 freaking weeks of living without heat to find this out.

It looks like our new unit is gonna cost around 5 grand :*(

Its a good thing that Matt and I are not newly weds and that we planted that money tree in the back yard.

Well enough whining for now. At least I have a fantastic home to live in and a husband and new puppy that love me very very very much!!

Keys

So... we signed for our house yesterday (dec 31st) :) Which means if all goes well we will get our keys tomorrow!! I am so excited!! Finally a house of my own (well matts too :P) And if we get the keys tomorrow then we have 8 days to move!! That is the really awesome part! I am so excited!!!

The house on Canyon Dawn!!

My lovely Realtor called today with some extremely fantastic news!! We got the house we really really wanted!! YAY!!!

I am so excited and thrilled because it all happened so fast!

If all goes well we will close in mid December. So lets hope that all goes well :)

House Hunting

Today was a very awesome day. Matt and I spent 4 hours looking at 13 homes. Our Realtor (Laura Reide) has been so fantastic and awesome. She initially sent us 74 homes to look at and we narrowed it down to 15 and were able to view 13 today.

The hunt was fun yet extremely tiring. In then end Matt and I decided to put an offer down on 2 homes.

I really need to keep up on these things...

I have been having this problem. I am sleeping through my alarm clock. Last Sunday I slept through 3 alarms and I don't know what to do. I want to go to church and enjoy the little bit of church time that I get to have... but I KEEP SLEEPING THROUGH THE STUPID ALARM!!

It may be because I am out of practice as the only day that I need an alarm is Sunday but that is really no excuse. So does anyone have any ideas for me? (The place it across the room thing is not helping)

Becca said she will call me on Sundays to make sure that I am up; and as appreciative as I am for her doing this I feel like a retard. I am 25 years old and cant seem to wake my butt up for church... any suggestions would be very helpful.

Drama part 2

I am really feeling picked on at work and I am super frustrated about it. Two of my co workers are out to get me (see drama post) and I feel like I have no friends on my shift. It is bad enough that I have to work swing shift so that I never get to see Matt, but I have no friends or allies and it is really starting to wear on me.

Today I was proud of myself. The other day my co worker Diane (one of the ladies from Drama) told my supervisor that I talk too much and that is one of the problems that she has with me. Well... I know I do. I talk WAY too much so i decided (without being told too) that I will not talk as much. I have been really trying and it has been very hard for me. I guess I am just too much of a social butterfly, but today I did it. I hardly spoke at all and I was so proud of myself. Then it happened.

My desk Sgt came over and sat in a chair between Felicia's (other girl involved in Drama) cube and my cube. She asked me some questions and a conversation started. Well wouldn't you know that would be the ONLY time all night that my trainer would come in and check in on us???

Well... I ended up getting in trouble. I did not get yelled at but i got "You have got to curb your talking or else." I understand that perception is everything and that I got the short end of the stick but COME ON!!!! Or else??? What is that about?? I spent all night listening to Diane and Felicia go on and on about stupid things they did when they were drunk and pools and puffy flaming hot Cheeto's!! I am so frustrated.

I have decided that my only course of action is to not talk at all. Unless absolutely necessary. Ya know the "Hey. Your chair is on fire." necessary. And that sucks for me because I love to talk and socialize and meet people. I guess this is just how it goes for the next year... please pray for me guys. Cause this is gonna be really hard.

I think I am beginning to hate my job- sad cause I use to like it so much.

Drama

I went to work today feeling like i normally do- today is gonna be a good day. I got alot of sleep, i looked cute in my new jeans and it rained today. It was perfect.

Well i got to work today and I immediately felt a tension that i have not felt since high school. It seems that i have irritated two of my co-workers and that they felt it was necessary to email back and forth about me. Well guess what guys... i saw it and i read it and it hurt my feelings. Do they feel better now? Do they feel big and bad and tough because they bad mouthed someone and made them feel bad? I hope they did. Because I am done feeling upset about it. I am done dealing with this kind of high school drama.

The thing that really gets me upset is that one of the girls i have been training with since the very beginning -- almost 8 months ago. I thought we were friends. When i had car trouble she called me every night to make sure that i got home safe. I was even gonna help her paint her house... but it now seems that she doesn't care for me. Doesn't care for our friendship and it really hurts cause i tried to be her friend.

So here is to the two older women that i am training with. GROW THE FREAK UP. We are not in high school anymore and i dont have the will nor time to deal with this crap. If you dont like me then get over it cause i have already gotten over you. Have a nice life and get the hell out of mine.

My loving husband was a really big trooper today as he braved the movie theaters for a movie that I have wanted to see for a while now. Mama Mia!! And I give it an A+. It was fantastic and I loved it and I can wait to see it again and again. :)

Matt doesn't know it yet but he is going to buy me the dvd when it come out :)

Yesterday was my official first day back to church (crowd cheers!!) and boy was it an awesome one. It was high council Sunday so I was a little worried that i would fall asleep, but the talks were fantastic and it was really a great experience.

My favorite part about the day was when Ivy (my niece) was told by her mother to pick up the papers that she had thrown on the floor. Ivy climbs off of the bench and begins picking up the papers and all of the sudden you hear the unmistakable voice of a 2 year old singing "Clean up! Clean up! Everybody every where! Clean up! Clean up! Everybody do your share" right in the middle of this really good talk!! I almost died laughing. And the poor High Councilmen... We were sitting in row 2... so i am sure he heard it but he did not skip a beat.

It will always be a church experience that i remember :)

Okay... its Sunday evening. I decided to take a shower so that i don't have to wake up early tomorrow and shower, and now i can curl my hair in the morning.

Well I am enjoying a nice warm shower... when all the sudden i am ATTACKED from above by FREEZING water from my loving husband. Why would he do such a think you may ask... cause he thinks its funny to make his wife scream and curse and freak out!!!

What a meany head... that is right. I said meany head.

When I wrote my post about my wedding I realized (more correctly it was brought to my attention :-P) that I forgot to mention the lovely and delicious creations that were made with love by my two lovely sisters Megan and Amber( Co-owners of Sweet Pea Sugar Shack) . They made a marvelous buffet of goodies and deserts for my gusts.

I hear the food was really good (i ate a carrot... it was really good) :)

So heres to you Megen and Amber!!! Job well done!!

Swing shift

The most terrible words you can ever say to a newly wed woman "we are switching you to swing shift". Now it was not a 100% surprise but it still caught me off guard. I mean why on earth would they do something that mean to me??? I would really like to see the man that i married, not be like two boats passing in the night. My new shift will be from 4pm to 1am... so very very lame.

Maybe this will be good. I get a 4% increase in my pay... i get to go back to church and i dont have to deal with that new annoying supervisor. But i will still never be able to see Matt :*( I guess we will just have to see what happens...

Well... this is the first post...well i guess the first thing to do is talk about my wedding...

March 08,2008 just happens to be the BEST day in the world. It is the day that i got to be married to my best friend and have him near me for ever. I must admit that the day before (March 07,2008)- not so nice a day... lots of stress (sorry Matt), lots of yelling (sorry Megen) and a little bit of tears (sorry Becca).

We had worked from 1400 hrs to 2200 hours on our canopy top and it was looking fantastic and then POP!! Down came one side... i was done. It was ruined. I kept up a brave face and decided to go to the good old fashion Wal-Mart and see if they had the one clippy thingy that could save us all. And they didn't have it... so I did what any logical exhausted and frustrated bride to be would do... I sat in the car and cried harder then I have ever cried before. I honestly don't know how Matt was so calm. I was devastated!! All that hard work for nothing. So we call the folks and said thats it!! Pack it in!! We are done. I didn't even care anymore.

Well its a good thing that my parents and my soon to be in-laws had a clearer head then I did. They decided that they would do WHATEVER they had to do so that i could have my canopy wedding. My dad and brother called every Lowes and Home Depot and when they didn't answer (cause they were all closed) he got a prompting to go to the Wal-Mart next to his house and there it was... the one little clippy thingy that could save my wedding. So he bought it and 0400 hrs the next day he and my mom and my in-laws went to the church and fixed my canopy thingy. And it was beautiful and a huge hit!!

Then there was the wedding which was beautiful and which i am glad that when the Bishop asked Matt "do you take this woman?" he did not answer... "im not saying that i don't" :-P

And then there was the reception. I have no idea what happened during this time cause i was playing -Who Wants to Be a Model- and posing and hugging and kissing so many people and taking so many pictures that it is just one big flash. But it was fantastic and I am so thrilled that it is over and that I have been married now 3 months. Yeah!!!
